Houston Hotels

It was named after the flamboyant general Samuel Houston , who is perhaps best known for his lavish lifestyle and three wives, including one Cherokee, as he is for his leading of the charge for the independence of Texas from Mexico. He became a political figure yet again when the country of Texas became one of the states of the Union.
